The externship transformed six raw CSV data sources into an analytics-ready database and a Q4 dashboard. The work catalogued available tables, mapped fields and quality issues, and designed an ETL approach and schema for analytics. Deliverables included the consolidated schema and the dashboard-ready dataset.
I produced a consolidated analytics schema, a week-one externship notebook with schema notes and query outputs, and five diagnostic SQL queries that answered routine revenue and traffic questions from the six sources.
I documented the six data sources, pasted five SQL queries and their results answering routine revenue and traffic questions, and began a running externship notebook (Week 1) that recorded schema notes and query outputs.
The project traced a fragmented customer journey, created a dim_product table with primary and foreign keys, joined sales, product, and referral tables using INNER and LEFT JOINs, and produced a product-level reorder recommendation from aggregated metrics.
The project reviewed $37.2K in Meta spend and sales data, designed an 8-category channel taxonomy for 421 referrers, calculated CTR/CPC/ROI per campaign, and produced a Q4 allocation plan listing campaigns to keep, pause, or reallocate based on observed ROI and conversion metrics.
During the externship I analyzed checkout data, identified suspicious carts (high quantities and timing anomalies), rebuilt a filtered view, and recalculated abandonment. The reported abandonment rate dropped from 91.2% to 50.8% after removing noise.
