The externship produced a working AI document-intelligence prototype for pharmaceutical supplier files. Work combined OCR, layout-aware extraction, Python-based text and image preprocessing, RAG retrieval, and a Gradio chatbot front end. Deliverables included extraction scripts, OCR comparisons, RAG configurations, a multi-document chatbot, and evaluation metrics.
I delivered an end-to-end prototype that combined OCR, page classification, chunking, local embeddings, RAG retrieval, deterministic field extraction, a Gradio chatbot, and evaluation metrics and examples.
