During my externship with Beats by Dre, I developed a comprehensive creative advertising strategy focused on video ads. I analyzed how video advertising operates across major social media platforms, explored the algorithms that influence ad visibility, and examined the competitive landscape of the premium audio market.

I built a coded repository of 25–30 video ads from Beats by Dre and competitors, including a spreadsheet with fields for hook, talent, CTA, platform, and production level.

A data-focused externship with Breaking Games exploring e-commerce behavior and conversion drivers using real marketing and analytics data.
The externship analyzed Breaking Games e-commerce data to identify where shoppers drop off and which marketing signals link to purchases. Work combined Google Analytics, Meta Ads, and Shopify data to map user journeys, segment behaviors, and surface actionable patterns in conversion funnels.

I mapped a purchase funnel end-to-end for a volumizing hair tool, recording stage-by-stage touchpoints and the persuasive triggers that coincided with conversion.
I tracked a recent purchase across awareness, consideration, and conversion, noted the ads, reviews, and discount touchpoints I encountered, and recorded feelings and specific tactics that moved me to buy, producing a funnel-stage worksheet of my customer journey.
The dataset showed year-over-year checkouts, conversion, bounce, and add-to-cart rates by referrer and landing page. I filtered and compared periods, calculated changes, and found Google drove steadier conversions while Facebook sent high-volume, very low-converting traffic.
