The externship worked with large public healthcare datasets to explore infection tracking, trend analysis, and statistical modeling. The work reviewed data quality and common analytic limits, built analytical foundations for dashboarding, and produced reproducible analysis steps and visualizations relevant to public health datasets.
I validated the CDC YRBSS mental-health dataset by assessing structure, variables, sample size, and missingness, and determined it was suitable for analysis while noting suppressed subgroup estimates as a limitation.
