The externship simulated an operational IoT water-monitoring environment and required building, attacking, and defending its components. The work mapped device roles, executed network-level and application-layer attacks, and implemented protocol-level defenses. Deliverables included attack reports, mitigation configurations, and a security playbook handed to Hydroficient.
I worked directly with the simulated water-monitoring system, documenting system components, running controlled attacks, and configuring defenses. Below are the core tasks and what I produced for each.
