I built, hacked, and defended actual IoT infrastructures while developing a security playbook tailored for a real company. This immersive project involved executing cyberattacks and implementing various defensive measures, enhancing my skills in IoT security.

Understanding IoT Systems & Threat ModelingI created a professional STRIDE-based threat model for The Grand Marina Hotel hydrologic system, documenting assets, threats, and prioritized mitigations.

Learning Python for IoT SecurityI built Python scripts and Colab notebooks to parse, clean, and analyze IoT-style sensor and telemetry data as part of the externship exercises.

Building an Insecure MQTT PipelineI mapped an MQTT topic hierarchy and reflected on its security implications for a hotel water system.

Securing the Pipeline & Measuring the CostI wrote a concise security assessment for the Grand Marina Hotel water monitoring system, summarizing tests, measurements, and deployment recommendations.

Enforcing Device Identity & ProvisioningI documented and enforced device identity for The Grand Marina by drafting a device provisioning policy aligned with the mTLS setup.
