Prototype AI-powered document intelligence with Pfizer—using OCR, LLMs, and RAG to automate real enterprise PDF workflows and build a standout portfolio project.
The externship prototyped AI approaches for extracting and interpreting pharmaceutical documents. The work summarized how large language models learn from corpora, how inputs are tokenized, how transformer attention models context, and how pretraining plus human-feedback fine-tuning alters model behavior.

I produced a technical summary describing LLM pretraining on large corpora, tokenization, transformer attention, and human-feedback fine-tuning as applied to pharmaceutical document processing.
The submission summarized how LLMs learned language from large text corpora, tokenized inputs, used transformer attention to model context, and were pretrained then fine-tuned with human feedback to improve accuracy and safety.
During the image-preprocessing task I converted a color scan to grayscale, removed noise with denoising and Gaussian blur, enhanced contrast, and applied thresholding, producing a cleaner black-and-white document for OCR.
