During my externship with Hydroficient, I built, hacked, and defended real IoT infrastructure. I launched realistic cyberattacks and implemented various defenses, culminating in a comprehensive security playbook tailored for the company. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of IoT security and the potential risks associated with vulnerabilities in water monitoring systems.
I produced a threat model for The Grand Marina's water monitoring system that inventoried assets with CIA priorities, applied STRIDE across components, and rated scenarios by likelihood, impact, and overall risk.
