During my externship at Outamation, I focused on leveraging AI to transform complex document workflows into actionable insights. In this externship with Amazon, I focused on enhancing employee retention by analyzing employee feedback from various platforms. I conducted web scraping to gather insights from employee reviews, refined the data for analysis, and developed strategies that utilize these insights to improve the onboarding process for new hires. My work aimed at creating a more engaging and supportive experience
I produced a draft briefing note on attrition, cleaned and merged multi-source employee voice data with polarity and subjectivity scores, generated keyword visualizations and word clouds, and documented themes, root causes, and proposed solutions.
Faced with mapping an AFC workforce, I collected role data and built a structured spreadsheet listing roles, responsibilities, who they work with, common tools, and brief notes. The deliverable produced a clear role-by-role workforce map.
The project gathered Glassdoor reviews and YouTube video transcripts, removed duplicate and empty fields, dropped irrelevant columns, and exported a cleaned CSV and Google Sheets version for analysis.
The project cleaned review and transcript text, added polarity and subjectivity, generated keyword frequency charts and sentiment visualizations, and compared Glassdoor and YouTube. The analysis found Glassdoor was generally more factual and neutral, while YouTube was more opinionated and positive.
The project combined cleaned Glassdoor and YouTube text, implemented keyword-based theme tagging in Python, and produced a themed dataset showing representative quotes and sentiment per theme for analysis.
The project grouped employees into labeled segments, calculated Impact, Severity, and Size scores, and computed a Priority Score (Impact × Severity × Size) for each segment. The deliverable listed scores and reasons for why top segments mattered.
Architected a scalable marketplace platform with Stripe payment integration Implemented role-based access control for users, sellers, and admins.
