About me

I'm on a mission to connect, learn, and lead in climate and energy tech through innovative investment strategies.

I’m a natural problem-solver who bridges early-stage ventures with the relationships, resources, and strategic support essential for their growth. My experience spans advisory roles for founders, building partnerships, and engaging with VCs and accelerators, alongside developing pilots and offtakes in climate tech, carbon utilization, energy storage, conservation, and nature-data ventures. My path has shifted from Sales & Marketing to Founder & Operator, and now as an Advisor & Connector. I thri

Overview

During my externship with Energy Innovation Capital, I developed skills in venture capital investing, focusing on climate and energy technology. I utilized AI-driven tools and databases to identify promising startups, conducted thorough evaluations, and created investor-ready reports that effectively communicated the investment potential of these companies.

What I'm doing

In this project, I engaged in various tasks that honed my abilities to source startups and conduct due diligence. Below is a summary of the specific activities I accomplished throughout the externship.

1

Project 1: Sourcing Startups

In this project, you’ll embark on the journey of discovering promising early-stage startups. Beginning with strategies for identifying early-stage opportunities, you’ll explore various online platforms to uncover startups that align with the VC investment thesis. You’ll apply these methods to select five potential startups, then dive deeper to evaluate each one and choose the one that best fits the VC’s objectives for due diligence. By the end of this project, you’ll have a clear framework for sourcing and evaluating startups based on a targeted investment thesis.

2

Project 2: Doing Due Diligence

In this project, you’ll expand your due diligence skills by collecting essential data on your selected company, including profiles, fundraising, press articles, and market size. You’ll analyze the company’s operating market, leadership team, and financials, and conduct competitor research to assess positioning. For B2C companies, you’ll gather traction, revenue, and customer feedback insights. By project’s end, you’ll have a solid approach to evaluating strategic strengths, market fit, and growth potential.
