Developed and led the development of BudgetWise, a responsive website for budgeting using modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Developed a data visualizer to represent club finances with Power BI and preprocessed with Pandas and Excel, which was used by 10,000+ users and saw a 50 percent increase in finance budgeting for users. Utilized extensive programming skills in website development and data visualization to develop a functional, highly scalable, and appealing web application.
Developed a full-stack web application for campus room bookings, implementing the front-end interface in HTML/JavaScript/TypeScript and the back-end database with MongoDB. Maintained and improved user experience through iterative feedback. Managed collaborative development using GitHub workflows for branching, pull requests, and conflict resolution.

I am Markus Fung, a recent Computer Science graduate and software engineer who builds full‑stack web apps and analytics pipelines. I worked on a campus room scheduling app (HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, MongoDB), led development of BudgetWise (responsive JS site, Pandas, Power BI) and completed an SQL and database architecture externship with Breaking Games. I use Java, Python, C/C++, SQL/NoSQL, React and standard tools like Git and VS Code.

Turn six messy CSVs into an analytics database and a Q4 dashboard that drives real business decisions. SQL + Claude.
The externship consolidated six messy CSV data sources into an analytics database schema and produced a Q4 dashboard. The work involved inventorying the raw exports, profiling their fields and quality, defining relational tables and keys, and preparing cleaned datasets for dashboarding.

I produced a data inventory for six sources, wrote five analytical SQL queries (top products by units and revenue, catalog size, Meta spend, unique checkouts), and compiled a Week 1 Holiday Game Plan document.
