The work involved launching realistic attacks such as spoofing and replay, and implementing protocol-level defenses including TLS and mTLS. Deliverables included attack logs, mitigation configurations, and a written security playbook.
I produced a STRIDE-based threat model of the hotel water-monitoring system and documented specific mitigations in a shared report.
The externship presented the hotel's IoT water system and asked for a threat model. I analyzed architecture, applied STRIDE to identify spoofing, tampering, repudiation, information disclosure, denial, and elevation threats, and documented mitigations in a shared report.
