During my externship with BeReal, I gained insights into how product teams design for authenticity while fostering user engagement. I mapped the user journey and benchmarked competitors to identify key growth features, all while aligning with BeReal's commitment to genuine connections. This experience deepened my understanding of balancing product innovation with core values in social media.

I produced a detailed capturing user actions, thoughts, and feelings at key moments, and a competitor feature table that linked specific UI mechanics to observed retention and engagement effects.
