I am Patrick Selby, a sophomore at Grambling State University studying in a program outside the listed majors. I explore cybersecurity through hands-on projects, including an IoT cyber defense externship where I practiced attacking and defending real IoT systems and produced a security playbook.

The project reproduced an IoT water system for a 500-room hotel and moved from threat analysis to a defended, monitored pipeline. Work included threat modeling, Python data work, building an insecure MQTT stack then hardening it with TLS and mTLS, and implementing replay protections and a real-time security dashboard. What I've accomplished

I delivered a defended MQTT pipeline for the Grand Marina scenario, including a professional threat model, runnable Python notebooks, TLS/mTLS configuration and provisioning policy, replay-attack experiments, a live security dashboard with attack logs, and an integrated Isolation Forest anomaly detector.
