During my externship at Hydroficient, I engaged with real IoT infrastructure, executing cyberattacks and implementing defenses. I developed a comprehensive security playbook that provided actionable insights for the company, enhancing their cybersecurity posture against a range of threats.

I delivered an executive summary that prioritized three critical findings with mitigation recommendations for The Grand Marina's HYDROLOGIC system, plus a runnable Python sensor log generator and Colab notebook as reproducible tooling.
I analyzed The Grand Marina's HYDROLOGIC water management system, inventoried assets with CIA priorities, applied STRIDE across devices, cloud, and dashboard, and delivered an executive summary with three top-priority findings and mitigation recommendations.
The module required creating a sensor log generator. I implemented a Python generator that produced timestamped water-sensor readings with realistic variation and saved the code and a Colab notebook. The submission included the runnable notebook and a downloadable script.
I designed a hierarchical MQTT topic tree for a hotel water system, listed intended vs. inappropriate subscribers, and documented sensitive signals (flow, pressure, heartbeats) that a # subscription would expose in plaintext.
