Overview

The externship examined how social platforms balance authentic user experiences with growth mechanics. The work benchmarked competitor apps, analyzed engagement features, and designed a feature concept that applied those insights. Deliverables included a competitor benchmark, feature spec, and engagement-analysis notes.

What I've accomplished

I produced a five-stage BeReal user journey (download, walkthrough, explore, participate, exit) that documented user actions, thoughts, and feelings at each stage and highlighted friction such as low friend participation and FOMO-driven posting behavior.
