A Pinterest externship investigating how Gen Z discovers and uses inspiration on the platform, focused on consumer behavior research for advertiser-facing insights.
The externship examined Gen Z behavior on Pinterest through a six-week research sprint. The work designed and deployed a Jobs-to-be-Done survey to at least thirty Gen Z respondents, then analyzed responses to surface a single evidence-backed insight and packaged that insight for an advertiser-facing pitch.
I built a six-question Jobs-to-be-Done survey focused on Travel & Hospitality that captured actions, intent signals, and post-Pinterest behaviors from Gen Z respondents.
I scoped research on how Gen Z moves from inspiration to travel decisions, chose Travel & Hospitality as the vertical, and built a 6-question Google Doc survey with dropdowns and follow-ups capturing actions, intent signals, and post-Pinterest behaviors.
